Art Center Morro Bay showcases Central Coast landscapes in ‘Love of Nature’ exhibit

Art Center Morro Bay will present “Love of Nature,” an exhibit celebrating the beauty and diversity of the Central Coast through the perspectives of local artists.

The exhibit will feature artwork inspired by the region’s ocean, bay, marshes, mountains, plants and wildlife, along with imaginative and abstract interpretations of the natural world. A special showcase will also include small-scale sculptures, tabletop paintings and other compact works.

The exhibit runs Sept. 17 through Nov. 2, with the gallery open daily from noon to 4 p.m. An artist reception is scheduled for Sept. 20 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Art Center Morro Bay is located at 835 Main St. in Morro Bay.

The exhibit is intended to encourage visitors to slow down and reconnect with the natural environment through art, with each participating artist offering a personal interpretation of the landscapes and living things that define the Central Coast.
