MORRO BAY — Art Center Morro Bay has announced a new addition to our summer program: the Media Arts/Video Production workshop with Robert Styles. This workshop is designed for students entering grades 6-12 and offers a comprehensive introduction to the basics of video production over three engaging days.

Participants will have the opportunity to create a completed video project, tailored to their specific interests. Whether aspiring to make short films, documentaries, music videos, public service announcements, or commercials, students will receive guidance and support throughout the entire process.

The workshop will cover all stages of video production:

  • Pre-production: Storyboarding and planning.
  • Production: Acquiring footage.
  • Post-production: Editing the video into its final format.

Students will benefit from peer feedback as well as constructive critiques from the instructor, fostering a collaborative and creative learning environment.

Requirements: Students are asked to bring a smartphone with sufficient storage space for video recording. Alternatively, they may bring their own camera and computer for filming and editing.

They encourage participants to invite their friends to join this exciting workshop!
